Dan manages global strategic sourcing for IBM and is responsible for defining category strategies, engaging stakeholders in collaborative ways and partnering with key suppliers around the world to deliver competitive advantage to the IBM company on an annual spend base that exceeds $25B. Prior to his current role, Dan led IBM’s global procurement operations and was responsible for procurement centers in each geography, client engagement and satisfaction, supplier diversity, procurement transformation and strategy as well as acquisition and divestiture support.
Dan has held various roles across IBM’s global Supply Chain including: VP Global Planning - Supply Assurance and Inventory, VP Global Manufacturing, General Manager IBM Ireland Limited, Director of Strategic Sourcing and Global Category Manager.
Dan joined IBM as part of the Supply Chain Leadership Program in 1998 and received his MBA with emphasis in Supply Chain Management from Arizona State University. He has an undergraduate degree in finance and prior to working with IBM, Dan worked in the financial services sector.
